This video showcases our Baby Bird Room which operates 12 hours per day (during the spring and summer months) with three shifts of volunteers feeding babies. Each year, an average of 2000 baby birds are raised for release. These babies have all been rescued by the public and brought to us for care. Some have fallen from nests, others are orphans - some are injured, some are healthy - no matter what the circumstances, we give them a second chance at life with our Baby Bird Program. Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition is an urban wildlife emergency and rehabilitative care facility serving the Greater Houston area. Established in 1979, TWRC focuses on conservation, public education, and wildlife rehabilitation, and is operated by part-time staff and volunteers who are permitted rehabilitators and animal lovers.
