Jackson Rathbone In The Last Airbender

Jackson Rathbone is set to star in another film franchise trilogy-we've got the scoop right here on ClevverTV.

Hey Twilight Fans, I'm Joslyn Davis with news that yet another Twilight cast member, Jackson Rathbone, is staying busy working on films outside the Vampire saga. In fact, Rathbone is currently in production on another saga in and of itself. "The Last Airbender" is the name of the film that will probalby be the first of three in a brand new film-franchise.

The director of the "The Last Airbender," M. Night Shyamalan says that the film will be a fun summer adventure to be released in 2010. The movie will follow Aang, a ten year old successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside to stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air Nations. Rathbone plays Sokka, who is a teenage Water Tribe warrior helping Aang on his quest to save the world. Dev Patel, who you all remember from the breakout hit "Slumdog Millionaire" is also in this film.

Tons of new pictures from the set of the film are out and many die-hard fans are really UNHAPPY with the casting choices. Apparently some of the actors do not look enough like the characters from the original, which is deeply influenced by Asian Cinema.

But Rathbone looks great in his costume. Because his character lives in Arctic tempertatures, he is wearing a costume made of what looks like leather and fur and his hair is very long and pulled back. He has the warrior look down to a T.

Dear God I can not listen to this woman

fans are offended by the casting but Rathbone looks great?

At least get the characters name right

or know fans are unhappy because they think of racism of an all white cast for an Asian-influenced story

Or better yet she should just say shes just a twilight fan and does not care about this film other than those two actors looking good in it

It is so wrong they have to stop trying to trun anime into live action while i know avatar is amrican made it is still a really good show. you can't trun a show like that into a moive unless you want to sit there for 4 hours. also i heard that W.B. studieos bought the writes to bleach no word if they are doing anything at all but its up in the air but those sons of bitches dare to even think about it

I'm commenting as I watch so... Soke-a? back tracking: the symbols when it says The Last Airbender are not the ones from the tv show. I looked it up, Aang is 12. And Rathbone does NOT look great in his costume because water tribe outfits are blue (purple for princess Yue). Not once were they ever brown. This is all wrong.
