very sad....truly. i got lost in hillbrow taxi rank on saturday as i am from durban...God only knows how i came out of there alive...was a very traumatizing experience. it was as if i had just driven straight into hell or nigeria

Whoa - this is how I remember Hillbrow - used to play gigs there at Golden Banana (real dive of a pub at the Winton Joy hotel) ... and who could forget Hillbrow Record Centre, and, man, those Fontana chickens were just totally kickass!

Hillbrow was a lovely part of Jo-burg, very cosmoploitan, clean and safe, now its just a hell hole that needs wiping off the face of the earth along with all the animals that live there... Very sad state of affairs but what can you expect in such an open air asylum such as SA.
