These lizards are eating termites as they hatch from a crack in a pool deck. There were 10's of thousands that hatched over the space of about 30 minutes - at one time I counted 7 lizards though only 5 are shown here.

  • Which are just hatching? The lizards or termites? Cuz that one lizard is really big.

  • Heh. It's the termites that are just hatching and the lizards were right there for an easy meal.

  • arent thoes anoles?

  • No, there's no chameleons in this state. Or this region.

  • wat? anoles have nothing to do with chameleons? good video though i would catch one and take care of it.

  • "Chameleons" are what we called anoles when we were kids since they do change colors. Neither of them exist here.

  • @StaleFries72 those are western fence lizards.

  • those lizards are descent pro's

  • Yet another way in which reptiles help the environment! I'd like to get a bunch of those to let loose around my house so I don't ever have to worry about termites.

  • shit what a way 2 go, but those termites can be a bitch from what I hear

  • Next time could you make sure and record it really far away so we can't see the termites or anything except a lizard in the dirt?
