I love the Hunt for the Decepticons version of Optimus Prime. You also forgot to mention he comes with a small version of the Matrix of Leadership in his chest. It also has the tires on the legs and the new one doesn't.

@ComicsLegend Yeah, the new one has fake, unpainted tires molded into his outer thighs. the matrix was covered in the HftD primes review. Did not have much good to say about it.

@BikerTrashWolf Yeah this Voyager Prime was a big disappointment. They are piling up at my local Targets and Toysrus because nobody is buying them. I think I counted about 15 voyager primes at one of the Toysrus and doesn't look like they are going anywhere anytime soon. They might sell when the movie comes out but who knows. What do you think about Ultimate Optimus Prime?

I got this Prime yesterday, and I was wondering if your opinion on it has changed at all. I can see where you would dislike it, and why you would recommend not buying it, although I think its an Ok toy. If you don't have it yet, grab the deluxe class Prime from wal*mart. Its a much better toy, although its gun is crap.

The true winner outta the 2 is : HFTD ( now a Wal-Mart exclusive Battle Hooks ) Battle Blades Optimus Prime because DOTM Optimus Prime looks cheap & major disappointment , keep'em coming Josh !!!

there is literally nothing better about the new one. The only up side is with a little modding I can finally have a gun for my leader class.

yeah that was me who brought up the RID thing yesterday. I had the exact same stream of consciousness run though my head after replying that you just did BT. "oh right 'the moon' ... okay they don't need to hide on the... BUT WHY WOULD HE STAY A TRUCK?" - damn the movies, they're starting to make me over think the fiction, maybe if they weren't under thinking it.. but hey we might all be surprised in the 3rd act where Prime comes out of a space bridge as a space ship :D ... its onto SW for me
