cont:There r 12 tones in the Western Scale[98% of the type of music you ever heard!& a limited#of chord progressions(things the guitarist does when he's not soloing) that go together& make sense to your critical ears.Yep, there are an unimaginative few that outright plagiarize ideas& less that 'make it'.Do the math, & realize that EVERY Led Zep to Dion melody, has already been sounded out by bards in 13 ad. or a group of mating Trex bangin tree stumps.Does that make em' thieves? You can hear it!" Or "they did it first, rip-offs!" they say this about qualified, talented, original conception oriented people. A basicLESSON to nonmuso's. @theplanetking Here it is again :-) It's easy to hear the similarity. Both 'Blockbuster' and 'The Jean Genie' ripped off their riff from The Yardbirds' cover of Bo Diddley's r&b classic 'I'm A Man'. If it's stolen or not who knows, maybe they just had same ideas :-)

the music of sweet is wonderful and brian connolly had one of the best voices ever! Love Brian forever.

The Sweet does ABSOLUTELY under NO CIRCUMSTANCES sound like QUEEN. In multiple interviews Freddie Mercury admitted to them being huge musical influences to HIM. I can not stand the fact that Queen became so much more notable and known than the Sweet, considering how they practically tried to steal their sound. The Sweet is so much better anyways though, and I would hate seeing a million people walking around acting like they're Brian Connolly's biggest fan. /end rant

Sweet had their own unique sound!!! I have not heard too many bands that can get their pitch ranges so high, There is usually one singer in each band with that talent but you have 3 singers with that unique talent here in this band.
