This derelict, unsophisticated argument does absolutely nothing to exonerate the deep & savage barbarism which is at the core of islam. Of course it is disguised as something "peaceful", when in fact, it is a piece of ragged 7th century war-literature that was written by a savage warlord (mohammed, who we don't even know for sure that he actually existed) who based on his hideous actions and claims, was LIKELY a schizophrenic. Religion must be jettisoned from civilized society, especially islam.

This is precisely why it is extraordinarily divisive. Think about it, we're living in the 21st century, there is no room left for magic, curses, witchcraft etc. There is no reason to follow the savage literature of a long-past age of crystal-pure ignorance. We can see that islam encourages violence against other human beings (apostates, unbelievers, jews, etc) therefore we can safely say that if HUMANS can be treated in such a vile disgusting manner, then it does very little to help animals.

Islamic traditions are fully against this cruelty or torturing animals for fun and one of this is in Muslim Book:1958:(Ibn 'Umar happened to pass by a party of men who had tied a hen and were shooting arrows at it. When they saw Ibn 'Umar coming, they scampered off. Ibn 'Umar angrily remarked: "Who has done this? Verily! Allah's Messenger has invoked a curse upon one who does this kind of thing.)

Islam is a religion and can be used like any other religion in any context.

Your first mistake instantly disqualifies you. I never said it had anything to do with islam (although it was probably an indirect result of this horrible dogma). What I said was:

This is a mere implication, not an actual claim that islam is the DIRECT cause of this. Although, we can extrapolate from the fact that islam is one of the more brutal dogmas in this world, that it is wholly possible that their general behavior is a result of it.
