  • why was there a shot of the Eupho without valves?

  • it is a shot of the back side of the instrument, underneath the valveset.

  • What's with the back to front brass instruments? We press our valves with our right hands here in the UK. :P

  • Hey CozBoz2, the horn is a 1925 Conn Baritone/Euph. The valves are right handed, its just that they are front facing. Cheers from overseas!

  • wasn't this originally by the las vegas body snatchers?

  • yes, Joe Welch wrote it when he was in the body snatchers, so he has migrated a few songs from a few of his projects into the band.

  • That was great Floozies! We've got a fancy new Euphonium in our hard rock band, distorts beautifully, really punchy sounds (through a valve amp )... great to see another band use one too, we love 'em, and they look great live... though a classical player we know gets a bit upset with our metal approach to brass ;) Cheers, yer legends :) Brigs, a Super Punk Muffin

  • 2:00 I slit my fart

  • The horn is a Conn "baritone" which isn't actually a true British baritone or a euphonium, but it's somewhere in between. Horns of this style are either called "American bored baritones" or "American bored euphoniums." I prefer calling it a euph simply because it's bigger and most "baritone" literature in concert band is actually meant for euph.

I used to play a similar Conn, but now I have a beautiful Yamaha 321 and I'm never looking back.

  • I pretty much love this. I wish i knew all the words, I'd cover this. I even have the tuba and tap shoes :P

  • @TuBaMoFo llol

  • The guy in the marching band uniform is playing a baritone... FAIL!
