The next word to get trashed is faith. Faith is belief without reason. Beliefs without reasons are irrational. Therefore faith is irrational. If you had reasons for your beliefs then you would have knowledge not faith. Ideas that are based on faith can not be shown to true or false therefore one faith is as valid as another.

Part 2
Ideas based on reason can be shown to true or false therefore it is possible to decide which ideas are true and useful. That is why science and reason has contributed to the success of humanity and religion/faith/superstition has not.

26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
But the Bible commends religion.
