this is a very nice locomotive. Its a shame that non of these LMS beyer garratts was preserved but if there was one preserved could they run it on heritage railway's?

shouldn't be a problem i dont think - but im no engineer :) as they are a simlar wheel configuration to a Black5 -2-6-0 + 0-6-2
My Garrett the LNER video is a 2-8-0 + 0-8-2 and doesn't go round ready to run track as radius is too small :( but she will cross track end to end using Express points :D

HI, Totally agree beauty on rails, and can be seen when the layout is out at exhibitions - please check the clubs website for details.
As regards if there was an example preserved then a preserved railway with the currently gauge that are the same as the mainline in the UK
examples of Garrett locos that are of the 'narrow gauge' can be seen at 'The Welsh Highland Railway' search for 'railfest'
