The lyrics are the thoughts of a young man determined to go for something different in his life than what his relatives think he could/should do instead. He looks at what was his yesterday, his childtime things and memories, finds them "once precious, now dusty" as all his friends have already gone, but doesn't know HOW to explain to his mother that for him it's "Time For The Leaving"...
Always loved the song and think it's one of Magna Carta's best.
