@Nununda You are totally right, my father buy 2 smart ( one is cdi ), its very nice to drive, very easy for me because i just started learning to drive. We buy that car because we are smart, because we work in town and we live in suburb. ( sorry for my bad english, i'm from Quebec :P )

I for one would never get one of these cars. I can't stand small cars. I never could. Right now I have a 2004 Buick Regal. Even it feels kinda small. Some people just cant stand a small car. That doesn't make them waste full. Plus i saw a video on this site where they put up a cinder block wall and crashed one of these smartfortwos into it at 40 mph. The final assessment, the driver and passenger would not have survived the impact. I stick with a larger car thank you.

I agree, the Smart Car is a lovely part of one's daily living style.

i love german cars, im a nerd for efficiency, and can't stand toyota's but still retain if a bigger car like a yaris or ford fiesta why would you get something less practical and more expensive if it returns the same mileage?

I would love one of those. Also read a good article about the same at fasteconomicalcars (.) com

their minds once i got it and showed it to them. inside it's like riding in a regular car. it feel spacious and comfortable and i forget i'm in a tiny bubble until someone either points at me or smiles when they see me or another smart drives by. at which point i get excited all over again

I love love love my smart car. I get excellent milage, i never have to give people rides, i ALWAYS find parking close by, plus it's a brand new car and I didnt have to pay an arm and a leg for it. I call it the baby car and everytime i drive by another i get ecxited. someone onhere commented that it's ugly, well sir your mom is ugly and my car is intensley cute so shuush. I will say that before I got it everyone of my friends thought it was the worst idea ever to get one but they quickly changed

My 2010 Toyota Yaris gets 42 to 45 miles per gallon average, with my wife driving it. She kinda has a lead foot. As nice as the Yaris is why on Earth would I want a car half its size?
I wish Americans changed their wasteful habits and start being more conscious about the environment.
Great video!

Seriously, why won't you people just accept the fact that the smartcar is an efficient, low maintenance, useful car that actually delivers?
I've owned mine for almost two years, and have put 45,000 miles on it. I frequently get 50mpg if I behave myself. City driving is so much easier, since because the smart is short and narrow, I can easily manoeuvre around "that guy."
Wanna take your family on a road trip? This car isn't for you.
Wanna drive to and from work? This car is perfect.
