Because he was derelict in his duties for leaving and no one knew where her was. He's on duty 24/7 and he is now paying back the state for using their money for part of the trip, so yes it has everything to do with his job. Maybe he should have admitted it to FOX news on during his 6/4 when they talked about infidelity.
