@figgyfucfaced You are absolutely right about the complainers on YT, who I guarantee can't play a note, or are not in the league of people they complain about. I have run into so many people who really want to see a Hendrix impersonator rather than hear his music played lovingly. I haven't see Gales live but EJ many times and he always nails Hendrix, Cream etc and always with reverence. I recommend the Hendrix bio "Roomfull of Mirrors to everyone, a great, painful read.

I think that's Chris Layton on the drums....

Letting go of the neck is a great way to keep yourself from overplaying, as well as giving your mind a minute to consider what you've just played and reflect on what you might play next. Watch any great guitar player and they will do it.
30+ years playing experience here...letting go of the neck has actually helped me be a better player.
Take it or leave it.

got dammit all you clowns and sissies just sit around and complain at every little nuance and twitch that doesnt resemble the great late jimi hendrix, OK i fucking get it ! there will never be another hendrix he spawned everything that is being done now he is the father of all of these children but this is to honor him not duplicate him verbatim otherwise it would not be what music was intended for , jimi would have wanted it that way muther fuckers

I am so glad I was able to meet Eric in Minneapolis.
He is very charismatic and friendly.
And man, the way he sings through his guitar is just magic. AMAZING!

I didn't know Will Smith was a guitar player and singer too.

i hate it when guitar players let go of the neck in the middle of a solo. what kind of statement is that. other then i have an itch to scratch? great solo by gales. dont know what johnson was doing. arpeggio practice?

Man, you really got great sound if that's just a camera mic in the audience. It's also wonderful to see concert video without the constant cutting and jumping around. The show's on stage, not in the camera or editing bay.
