@sethmoyer Nah, don't "pretend" to like it if you don't. Albert's style is very unique, and some of it is not easy to like. That said, i like some of his works but certainly there is some music of his i have never liked.

you are an idiot

@sethmoyer It's the multiphonics; I can't handle them. I used to play the sax, and that's what it sounds like when you're playing wrong. ;)

I really WANT to like this, but I keep thinking of some kind of wounded animal or something. I guess I'll just tough it out and pretend to like it like all the other cool people do.

For me, this is the ultimate album of Albert's. That's if I had to choose, which happily I don't have to. But this the spirit of this this session takes me to a place where spirit is praised and not quoshed by ignorance and intolerance.

I remember hearing 'Bells' by Abert Ayler on the John Peel show on BBC radio about fourty years ago. Can anyone direct me towards it?

I did a search on google for "jazz july 10 1964" and this is what came up. This cat was recording this as I was coming into the world. I have been a Coltrane fan since way back and wanted something by him, but this cat right here, This brother is smooth! This, from this day forward, is my theme music...(every hero has to have theme music!)
