If you concerned about how to be effective or how to spur your audience to action at the end of a presentation, here's what to focus on: Focus on emotions.

People only remember what affects them emotionally. And they're more apt to act on something that they feel some emotional reaction to. This idea might sound a little bit strange to a business audience.

BUT ... most of the time, we don't make logical decisions. Take the purchase of a car. We fall in love with a car. Car salespeople know this.

How about a house? Same thing. The biggest purchase most of us make and it's overwhelmingly an emotional decision.

So, when you're thinking about benefits to your audience for doing something, think about benefits that have an emotional impact. How does the solution you're proposing affect them emotionally?

Identifying and focussing on benefits that emotionally impact your audience is the sure-fire way to get results!
