Hey dude i weigh 190 lbs should i get a 139cm or 144cm board?
-
IF YOU DO THIS WITH A BIG MIDDLE FIN YOU WOULD PROBABLY FALL BACKWARDS, MOUNT IT OF FIRST.
-
@Farmboy011 I wouldn't recommend Doing this with a Middle fin, the edge fin is probably fine they are often smaller.
-
Whats the fin set up on your board? Does it matter for me trying to learn this? Like should I take off my non molded in ones to avoid catching an edge or learn with em?
-
Great learning video as I kept finding difficulty in turning on my toe-side - let alone jumping - but this has helped and now can't wait to get out to try again!!

is it required to have the rope on one of those high bars to jump?
JaysEatingWorld 7 months ago
@JaysEatingWorld - No, you can ride behind anything strong enough to pull you up out of the water.

@LearnWake Alright. also, how long should my rope be? Thanks.
JaysEatingWorld 7 months ago
@JaysEatingWorld - Depends on what type of boat is pulling you. A good rule of thumb is you should be able to easily jump one wake, and come down landing on the downslope of the second wake. If you can't clear the wakes, shorten your rope. If you are clearing the wakes too easily, lengthen your rope. For most riders, the goal is to ride the longest length rope that they are comfortable clearing the wakes with.

What exercises are good for preparing my body for wakeboarding?
And what is the speed that boat has to have?
Also please tell me there are 3 positions between feet. What position should I use for beginners?
And what angle is the correct for beginner?
Thanks a lot if you reply
Best regards

@marfasan18 18-20 MPH for beginners. 21-23 MPH once the rider is trying to jump the wakes. There is no difference in foot position (when setting up a board) for a beginner or a pro. They are all the same, and are based on comfort. Usually, your feet will be "ducked" out a little bit. Both feet should be angled out the exact same amount.
