Sitting in seat 42a, the back end of a 777. Flight was very bumpy. The captain asked the flight attendants to sit until we reached smooth air.

  • What do you have to expect? Flying over rough surface (mountains) provides a rough current due to the airflow over it.

Here in Europe this often occurs over the Alps or the pyrenees.

  • @emiratesA380NCL How exactly am I being wimpy when I have flown in turbulence 10 times as bad as that and didnt even blink.

  • @emiratesA380NCL THAT IS SOMETHING IF THE CAPTAIN WANT THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO SIT. SO YOUR THE WIMPY ONE

  • THATS NOTHING STOP BEING SO WHIMPY!!!!

  • Roxxia, They are just turbulence. Turbulence have NEVER and i mean Never ever brought a plane down. If anything it feels like a roller coaster as you indicated. It's not the plane nor the pilots fault for turbulence. They cannot always be avoided.. I too do not like turbulence but through my research i have discovered this fact that turbulence cannot and will not bring plane down. So rest easy....and not to worry.

  • as I exited the aircraft, the captain had the nerve to stand there smiling as we left, you can imagine the remark I gave him.

  • I turned around to the stewardess and she told me told me that was "normal" for Denver in the summer. If that is her idea of normal, I wouldn't want to be on a flight that was "not normal". Never again, I can relive that horror to this day. Denver is awful, just awful.

  • I swear, I will NEVER fly in/out of Denver again, the last time I flew into Denver in the summer months, I thought for sure we were going down. This was the scariest flight of my life, sheer terror! I thought the asian guy sitting next to me was about to hyperventilate, and we both looked at each other and held each other's hands, I mean, it was THAT bad! Rocking, rolling, dropping. I screamed into the cockpit, What the fuck!??

  • Where were you going?

  • It's been bumpy every time I have flown in or out of Denver.
