Ending world hunger is at the centre of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization's goals and vision. Is FAO really doing all it can to
achieve this, especially at a time when crises are becoming more intense, frequent and unpredictable? Is it choosing the best strategies and activities to contribute to reaching every man, woman and child affected by, or vulnerable to, this reality? Matching FAO's vision to tomorrow's challenges calls for all stakeholders to make a leap in commitment, innovation and accountability. The reforms and strategies that guide FAO's efforts must be transferred from paper
to the daily work of people in order to make a difference. In this video, you can see how FAO is trying to bring about some of this change by focusing on the skills and know-how of its staff. Change starts with individual behaviour and an enabling environment created by management: one that is conducive to taking risks, building trust, and critically examining the relevance of FAO's work to better respond to the needs and aspirations of vulnerable populations.
