Not gonna lie...when i was a kid, this scared teh bejesus out of me. For some reason, though, I couldn't change the channel. Intoxicated and terrified at the same time.

This was shown after the "Two Letters" song.

@NantoVision1 throughout college there was a mean clicque led by this overweight dude with two side chicks and we nicked named after this very same animee: we called them the Parisian Fat Cats because they walked around campus wearing these long denim coats, smoked ciggarettes and always looked as if they were going sing this diddle-diddle song at any given moment. it was hilarious. this song got me through the worst moments of my life because I could smile at any thing.

If there was an Electric Company tribute album, Cee Lo Green would be perfect to cover that song
-
The so-called current bogus Electric Company is trash compared to this!

Does anyone else notice that the orange cat is blind?

Anyone have "Kelly and Buddy"? It's a stage performance a similar theme,
Reading double letters".

Thanks a lot for posting brilliant song!
Couldn't you please provide the link or exact words for learning lyrics? I'm not kidding. I'm studying English.
And yes, I know that the very beginning is from Mother Goose... but how about the rest?
Damn....This song is better than ANYTHING Justin Bebier has ever done!

@rang3r34 True, but that's a bit like pointing out that a steak dinner is better than a piece of rotten baloney!

This was the cut in the 70s

@shydmples Yeah, I even made a cassette tape of it off the TV back then so that I could listen whenever I wanted to. Great jam that still sounds amazing today.

@binturong1000 Same animator, Jim Simon. He also did some great cartoons for Sesame Street and the opening titles to Soul Train.
