Yes, most county building codes require permits. Some are easier to obtain than others.

@dead4fun Well you need a water in and a water out. The woodstove you just put it in on a rock bed8eventually with a tube vent going in, and a chimney pipe going out. And for the toilets, a wood dust composter is fine and doesn't smell. I mean, it's no rocket science X'D

I love this yourt. It looks like it is fairly easy to construct. I think it can be ordered with 9' or 10' walls which allows for a loft. Very nice. Thanks for posting.
