  • i wish it was like the old days, i remembered when it was 2002, and i was only like 5 and 6 years old, i'm in seventh grade now and take the subway everyday to school. well during that time, on december 2002, there was a service change making the J trains extended to coney island via the M line and it was cool cuz i never saw a J train on the west end line before, too bad there hasn't been any service changes on the Nassau street line.

  • Well around 2002 was the 9/11 service plans!

  • umm curtis, i know that this was during construction but don't J trains skip Gates avenue during skip stop service?

  • Yes it does!

  • another question, the last time i was at Gates avenue during rush hours, i saw a J train bypassing this station but how come they don't skip stop on the central track. why did they build the express track for, if J or Z trains don't use it. also sorry if i'm getting annoying, i was just asking cuz ur like a subway expert.

  • The middle track is the express track not a track for skip-stop service. There is no express service b/w Myrtle Avenue-Broadway and Broadway Juction expection for G/O's!

  • @Videos6548 the J and Z trains are skip stop trains after Myrtle avenue because the M trains don't run to Jamaica Center, so J trains usually skip Gates & Chauncey street.

  • Ok cool!

  • i rember there used to be a movie thatre on gates avenue back in the day

  • At least they do have express service between Myrtle Avenue and Broadway Junction when they have construction.
