@DistractBot The military should be disbanded for other reasons. We are not threatened by standing armies. If all we are doing is assassinating rebels and U.S. citizens, the CIA can take care of all of that. Water is vastly more transmissive medium for sound than air, so don't under-estimate the power of murderous sound lasers. It takes non-violent acts to improve the military position of America in its new "fighting" capacity. Poking lasers in dolphins' eyes is not being constructive.

@minus00 as for "if you cannot defend yourself, you should praise your oppressor", i have so many things wrong with that statement, that i don't know if i will be able to list them all. first of all that would be a leap back towards the stone ages to make society back into an entirely dog eat dog world that capitalism and greed creates and it is simple common sense that the oppressed must rise up and take out the oppressor.

@minus00 while i agree that the effects of sonar are terrible and a new system should be devised, it is entirely illogical, and just plain ignorant yourself to be led to the conclusion (not just by sonar, but other harmful things they may be doing) that militaries should be entirely disbanded (i also believe that national defense forces should and will be phased out of society, it's just a matter of when). a much better statement to make is that theremust be reforms, and NOW.
