Barossa Valley, where an afternoon drive looks like a postcard and reads like your wine rack. Find living heritage in historic towns amongst the vineyards. Home to wineries with household names as well as family owned boutique estates. Delight at the local produce prepared in traditional style at the many restaurants and cafes. Take a tour of the Barossa, just over an hour's drive from Adelaide.
@elv87 Haha sounds like my town- except I do mind it. I definitely want to spend a few days out there. It's an investment I'm making- hopefully by next summer. Thanks for the tips. :)

@sugarbaybee1421 yes i do, i live in a little seaside town called bagnara calabra..... i don't like the people at all coz they don't mind there own business, but that's ok, i can resist =)... if you ever come to italy, travel in the south like Sicily (fantastic) or calabria where i come from.... there's a lot to see, like historical places and beaches and folkloristic events in summer......

Saltrams Winery near Angaston has perhaps the best red wine available anywhere in the world. Fabulous food here also.
I just love The Journal Shiraz. World class red and second to none, at a special price too. Lived in the Barossa for 30 yrs and Saltrams is my fav winery by a long way.
