Its a young guy. I would say about 8 months. Is he badly trained? no. Is he a young puppy who needs more training? Yes. How do I know? I work for a K9 security company

these 10 months old dogs are in my language called sharplaninac and they are used in ruff mountains to guard ships and they are i think the only species in the world that can win in a fight with wolf 1vs1.

Cause the dog is not properly trained to "out" on command so the officer has to basically choke the dog off the hold so he releases. :/

some dogs are so "driven" that without a proper foundation or training they are harder to "out" than others so lifting the dogs up for a second causes the airway to close and makes the dog let go. this does not hurt the dog unless u hold it there for an unreasonable amount of time. any dogs that i have seen are unbothered by this and are right back into the game. it is not something i reccomend or encourage but for the most part handlers love their dogs and are not intentionaly hurting them!

Can you tell me why the police lifted the dog up when getting it off the target? I didn't quite understand that.

Nop! They are trained for the specific tasks. They are specially selected with high energy level from the litter itself.

Depends what you are looking for in Dog. Rottweiler are vicious and are better as guard dogs. They need to be very heavily and properly trained to be able to handle as a dog owner. If you train them properly they are extremely friendly.

In everything else German Shepard are better, they are excellent guard dogs as well. May be not as much as Rottweilers but extremely good.

If you ask me I would say any day German Shepherd. They aren't popular for no reason. They are such a intelligent breed!
