September 2010, Anheuser Busch's previous Bell 407, which Helo Air (Richmond, VA) came down to do some long-lining with the people at SCC in Cade's Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Hunter (student at the time) had the honor to join the team for the ground work. On the return trip he got some stick time, cruising at 130+kts.
407's are beasts!!!!

Did you get a chance to meet Augie III? I met him here in St. Louis at a local restaurant on the river that we fly in to for a great BBQ lunch. We have an R44 and Augie flies in the 407 and sometimes a float plane in order to pick up some special pies.
Must be nice to have some spare change to do an hour run for a few pies :-)

@1337megan i am not sure, but the engines seem to be started and run up to idle, during that the crew checks if the engines work properly and stuff like that, and shortly before takeoff the engines are switched into "flight" mode, meaning 100% rpm. correct me if I'm wrong, Michael, you must know it better :)

I don't have nearly enough money to fly helicopters yet I'm all the more loving to help out with helicopter operations! Yet because of my love for flight and your videos it helps me understand more, The instruction people could learn in your videos is worth allot of money in ground school!
