This is using the same code drop from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVv9fVeir9k, but now with eglImage support make by Rob Clark, making it able to decode 720p and 1080p videos.

They should really take a look how other people make TV UIs... XBMC's Aeon Skin is like the perfect TV UI.

I've tried to grasp a better word for it, but there is none: this is BAD ASS. I've worked hard to cobble the pieces to computers to do exactly this around here...and here's an alternative, just ready to go, cheap AND running basically on batteries.
