  • Hi stuckat27,

the good thing about high quality cases is, that the shells are very easy to drill, you get clean holes and still the shell remains perfectly stable, and in the unlikely case you would be really off with one hole, you can close it again with a rivet! Doesn't look too bad ;-)

  • Hi teamcocono1,

a case with straps has been a case without straps before. Then it has been drilled, and the straps have been riveted to the shell. Just the way it's done with the hardware for the Fiedler bacpack system.

Of course you have to take out the cello before drilling :-)

  • really don't feel comfortable drilling my multi-thousand dollar cello case...

  • Love the idea of straps just not a huge system like this. Pre made straps are 1 thing I look for in a case, as well as quality wheels!

  • @teamcocono1 every case (should!!) come with straps, however many cases are heavy and hurtful to our backs and create problems later in life... i think this is a great idea, every case should come with this system!

i must agree though.. me putting a drill near my case doesn't sound like a good idea :)

  • i rather just buy a case with straps!!! i would never put a drilling machine near my case, it looks very dangerous!! this ppl are crazy!

  • Ah this is my dream cello case it's so beautiful! ive wanted it for so long, but so expensive :|

  • Excellent! The backpack is just this easy to mount and very comfy to wear... I wish I've discovered it earlier
