Waste of time. Blood toxins would have him well dead. As a tower crane rigger i would have wraped sling around lacing of jib section and attached a chain block to retrieve him. Loosened his harness made him safe and then maybe called you guys. But until that point these efforts are as useless as they are show pony.

I think the rescue technique is great until they hit the ground and lay the victim down. At this point the victim would die due to suspension trauma. Keep the victim upright and they will live.

Good observation! The rescue dummy used was very flexible, so we could not follow the correct protocols for suspension trauma. So we had to do that way for the video.
