@harplyong I agree. My county's orchestra played this in concert this afternoon, actually, and I was a second violin. Our harpist boasted she was the loudest harpist in our area, but still it was sometimes difficult to hear her. My favorite is the beginning of variant 3 in which it's the violin soloist and the harp and that's it.

Great playing, I just think the end of the second variation could've been a tad slower.

These children are so young and play so beautifully. So lovely and achingly sweet. It touches the heart.

it's a BIG string orchestra though you have two harps, but still...bring the string orchestra one dynamic down, so harps can be heard.
*harps bring the colors in this piece of music.*
