You cannot take rights away which are deemed right! If this were the case blacks would still be outlawed in many states not to marry other races. EQUALITY FOR ALL!

Blacks always had the right to vote if they were born citizens as did women. There is no "white only clause" anywhere in the constitution. The Declaration of Independence says in part: ". . .We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"

As for civil unions giving the same rights as marriage, THEY DO. look it up in the CA FAMILY CODE

Actually blacks did not get the right to vote until 1870 when the consitituion was ratified by the supreme court which over rided a vote which did not allow blacks to vote. So you are wrong there. Also Speration of church and state. you cant use religion in a legal case like this. Its not possiable. :) OH and civil unions do not guarantee the same rights as marriage. i can give you the link to the website if you would like.

First of all, black people ALWAYS had the right to vote because they were born in this country. That is not a valid argument.

Marriage is defined as a union between one man and one woman. not Adam and Steve, Adam and Eve. The only reason this even came up is because the gays and other perverts came up with a lot of money to legalize their perversion.

But you are wrong again because they have civil unions now which have all the same rights of marriage without all the religious connotations.

If the supreme court didnt stick up for the minority black people wouldnt be allowed to vote or even get married in this country. It is the job of the supreme court to overturn such injustices which take away rights from a minority.

No one anywhere is saying homosexualty is illegal!! where do you get that from? Prop 8 only protects marriage. It does not ban homosexuality!

So you are glad that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Californian votes are being ignored and trashed and discounted by the California Supreme Court? This is not justice this is a dictatorship.

And anyone with an ounce of intelligence knows that Marriage is between one man and one woman. Only the ignorant and misinformed think otherwise.

WOW... this video made me sick to my stomach. This vote is sooo wrong. I am so glad the supreme court is going to over turn prop 8. He talks about he didnt choose to be gay but he did choose to be a law abiding citizen. SINCE WHEN IS BEING GAY AGAINST THE LAW! I am outraged to hear that remark. These people want the same rights that you have in a marriage. I dont see how anyone could have supported a YES vote. I feel sick to be a californian.
