Ha.... It was hot? I run in southern Texas. I hate running in anything below 80 degrees.

@jbrd28 I disagree. The runners pay for water stops and medical booths in their entrance fee so that they can focus on the job at hand - running. This isn't a practice run where you stock water on the course for yourself and carry tons with you. It's an organized event the organizers failed. I ran the Chicago Marathon this year - it was also in the Mid 80's and the experience was good - they were prepared.

Chicago is worthless. Corrupt, inept, dysfunctional, crime-ridden, filthy, dirty and full of stupid kids that can't learn, corrupt politicians, and shitbag "citizens". Drop a nuke on it, stick a fork in it, Chicago is the next Detroit. GOOD JOB, SHITBAGS!

this is fuck up you are dealing with human beings!

fuck you

so 5 people ran out of water and the rest were fine?
Sure the runners could have gone into the shops but they paid to get water and the authorities knew what the temperatures would be...

stupid sport

I'm going to try again this October. I want redemption!

Apparently the majority of Americans would rather run the CHI Mar. than a Minn. Marathon. A prestigious marathon for prestigious avid runners.
CHICAGO '08 !!!
I love reading these comments by people arguing with each other about my video, being insulted by virtual strangers and laughing at the enormous number of typos. Thanks for the entertainment, folks!

With the heat index what it was, many runners had to make a judgement call about whether or not to participate. I'm a seasoned runner used to hot weather. Had the aid stations been fully supplied, I would have had less trouble in the race. What's being reported is accurate. There simply was not enough water or Gatoraid. There is no controversey about it. The heat was an anomely but the lack of hydration was what it was. Hopefully, the Chicago Marathon directors will learn from this.
