This tutorial teaches you how to use the time remapping tool in Adobe After Effects CS4. This tool has the ability to ramp the audio as well as the video, unlike the time remapping tool in Adobe Premiere. It covers the keyframe velocity dialog box as well as how to use the keyframe influence handles.

The clip used as an example was shot at 60 frames per second with a Canon T2i / 550D, so it produces smother slow motion than a standard 30 fps video camera.

  • are you ashomsky as well?

  • @firebird234569 Yep, that's my other channel.

  • Can't you just set 4 keyframes in the start and pull the middlepart down? s: You can do that in Premiere.

  • @OrgasmatronYYZ If only it were that easy! Unfortunately, no. That doesn't work in after effects. If you try to do that, the line takes on a crazy shape that bounces up and down from slow motion to faster than real-speed.
