i think iphone now automatically uses IMAP instead of POP when you select the GMAIL option when adding an account. you dont need to select OTHER. i did this and it keeps all my mail in sync when reading, deleting, etc.

Yep,my favorite feature for the 4g would probably be the flash and the noise cancelling
