As non-existent bands go, The hayriders did pretty well. They opened for Buddy Holly and the Crickets 8 times a week at The Shubert (in "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story,") they made a record (of sorts) in the basement on a matinee day, and they had a gig in the 2nd Gypsy of the Year pageant. Here, they play contemporaneous Broadway hits in a country idiom. (Badly.) Steve and Don Stitt cooked this up in their dressing room, but Steve did most of the work. Have a few laughs as The Hayriders mangle Broadway. (Left to right, Don Stitt, Christine Elliott, Tom Nash, Steve Steiner, and Kevin Fox.)
