We have ours for over a year and it works great. Need to clean the machine after a couple of fills of coffee beans to keep it working great. The only suggestion is I wish the digital display would be lit by a blue LED as their other products. We use the auto setting everyday and prepare the machine the night before in order to wake up to freshly made coffee. I would buy the product again.

good technology... its power fool

Not to be snotty, but what do you expect? This is a complicated coffee maker that's not made by a coffee company. Cuisinart makes appliances, not coffee grinders.
If you want a decent grinder get a Baratza Virtuoso or Maestro. Pay little, get little...pay more, get more and you won't have to deal with junk like this. Baratza will replace any grinder within one year after purchase with a new one.

We had that same problem. Called the company and some rude person on the phone said that since it was under warranty we could return it for repair but all shipping costs were at our own expense. Thank goodness we bought it at Costco - they took it back no problem. We tried another Cuisinart that grinds the beans and now it's having problems 6 months later. Cuisinart used to be a good company but I won't be buying their products any more.

@beer1for2break3fast4 so ur saying that there is no way that i cant replace the carafe with a cup? thanks

What do you mean? Are you trying to replace the carafe with a coffee cup? You need to use the carafe in order to prop open the valve on the bottom of the filter to let the coffee out, otherwise it will overflow the filter basket and make a real mess.

I have this machine and it worked flawlessly for the first 6 months. Now it starts beeping almost continuosly during the grinding process. We have tried cleaning it as best we can, making sure all the parts are lined up properly etc. It is still a crap shoot as to wether or not it will work properly. I think it has something to do with a sensor not aligned properly but I haven't figured out where that might be or how it can be fixed. Too bad because when it works it works great.
In our experience, Cuisinart items do tend to last and last but like any product, they can go wrong. In the UK most Cuisinart items come with a 3 year warranty, so you are covered both by us, and by Cuisinart. Happy brewing!
