@nbtuber535 The scene with Johnson and the Elite isn't canon, its just a funny extra. After Combat Evolved, the novel First Strike explains how Johnson got off Halo.

if you played halo 2 youll notice that johnson survived the explosion of the halo ring and i think that elite is the arbiter and johnson survived the whole explosion of the ring

@99monkey12 I assume he's propelled at like 10000000 mph by the explosion, and punches through a covenant ship, hijkacking it. But seriously according to the books he was on a pelican and met up with master chief later. They then blew up 500 covenant shipps on the way back to earth
