well that may be the rule but NOONE follows it.....covers are what i like to watch on youtube and there is a full cove for just about every song you can think of....old or new...noone else seems to be harassed over it.....i think its just because fretkillr was so freaking amazing...he did a better job at most of these songs than the original artist did....his versions had so much more feeling and general awesomeness...i think they were just jealous that he did their songs better than they did..

@pugs2300 As far as I know, its ok to play an instrumental version of a song, not sing it as well, without permission. Many who do this on youtube, mainly cover traditional tunes that are now free from copyright being as old as they are. Those who do other tunes, mainly do instrumental versions only. That is just my guess, have not looked to far into it.

man i used to watch fretkillr everyday....tryin to get these licks like he does them....never had much luck....man he's good...anyone know why his account was shut down...what ever happened to him...
