Glenn Beck talks to Byron York of the Washington Examiner about the AmeriCorp firing

The White House's decision to fire AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin came amid politically-charged tensions inside the Corporation for National and Community Service, the organization that runs AmeriCorps. Top executives at the Corporation, Walpin explained in an hour-long interview Saturday, were unhappy with his investigation into the misuse of AmeriCorps funds by Kevin Johnson, the former NBA star who is now mayor of Sacramento, California and a prominent supporter of President Obama.

Obama's good at breaking the law....a law he co-sponsored....to fire a man who actually did his job? Ahhh, but there's the rub. In doing his job, he exposed an Obammunist as being corrupt. Apparently this is what "political courage" means to the script reading political coward. Afraid of getting caught with their hand in the cookie jar!! Where are CBS/NBC & ABC? This whole fiasco should be a clear sign that the entire Rep./Dem. idea is a bunch of bullshit. I voted for Obama. It's clear now he'll never be the best president ever. He's relegated to "The Best POLITICIAN Ever". The politicians are in the business of maintaining power. Governing or doing right by the populace is secondary.

I think that there might be some merit to this story, and if it is true then it is a crying shame and horrific.

HOWEVER - for republicans to try to exploit this and use it as an example of how "Obama is destroying America" is preposterous. The law was passed in response to George Bush routinly firing inspectors and auditors, not to mention shutting down the federal agency that reports on fraud and waste in Iraq
