I am from New Orleans my heart goes out to my Haitian brothers and sisters. I want President Obama to allow these people to come to America. The state of Louisiana shares a common history with the nation of Haiti; Haitians should be allowed to immigrate to Louisiana, now!

Leviticus also says you can own a slave, beat him as long as you don't break a bone or knock out an eye your cool with God, if the slave does not die within 24 hours along with many other inconceivable laws. In my studies, I've discovered most of these laws were Hebrew wisdom of the time and had nothing to do with God. Wow what a confusing God, I give you free-will and don't force you to serve me, but if you don't I'll punish you with misery. As friend told me as with Katrina, why would God punish people who already have nothing- the dirt poor? Answer this for me. It's doesn't seem like a merciful creator to me. I see why Christianity has become a FEAR and GUILT based Yeshua (Jesus) cult. God would not do this- it's called the natural order of things. God is the mercy that coming now through love and help.

I live in Montana and my heart goes out to all of Haiti - I feel so helpless way up here for my fellow man .... I have donated and plan on doing more. I have lived in New Orleans and agree that we as a country share a history with Haiti that we cannot break and we should help as much as possible to make life better in Haiti.
