iLife is this a highschool. And although Theres a big stage... WAY to many people.
-
did the piano bobble the 32nd(?) notes?
-
@SHB0123 Doesn't work... I know people like to change the setting of literally EVERY single show to the ' 70's, but it doesn't work. Almost ever.
-
i agree with the others. its loses a lot of meaning and greatness with it being changed to the 70s. well performed though

@ubercarrots But you have to realize that a costume gets you into character, and you simply CANNOT get into a victorian mind when it comes to separation of classes (which was so prominent back then) if you are in a 70's get-up. It will never work. The musical is set in that time period for a reason. I understand it's a high school production but that doesn't excuse the fact that the drama department should stay true to the script. VICTORIAN times, not DISCO times.

Oh my word what is this? The costumes? Far too modern, Jekynn & Hyde is set in the Victorian period. Do your research for costumes. Vocals are good though. I HATE when they try to make this a modern musical with modern costumes. It takes me out of the show, not into it. The ending was too abrupt and not even sung. Pitiful!

It's like Jekyll and Hyde meets 9 to 5.

Is this an American company?
-
I have one question. Why the 70s? Of all decades? The 70s? Like... I'm just so confused.... Great singing though.

I dont like the coreogrphy!
It was very good but some of the costumes seem a little too...modern for this show. I'm pretty sure I saw people in T-shirts and this show is supposed to take place in the 19th century.

i just don't get it. this or bring on the men. it doesn't work with the synthesizer and definently not the 70's deal. there's no class separation and it's supposed to be mid 19th century london. this whole poor and rich deal is such a huge theme in the show, it's ruined when you take that away. I'm sorry but it makes no sense. nice set though

Note the well dressed people on the right hand side. Lower classes on left.
