What people don't understand is in order to get the churches permission to conduct an exorcism is that the patient must go through various, various tests for mental disorder(s) so that they won't look like stupid. That's why the patient could take up to months, even years in order to be free of the demon because it takes a rather long time for them to rule out all other causes until the only thing left IS demonic possession. -_-'

@countrygurl16ily first, she stopped taking meds after she was convinced that she was possessed. second, assuming medical treatment really wouldn't have worked, that doesn't mean she was possessed. it just means that the medical treatments didn't work. Doctors would have looked into different things based on MEDICAL FACTS. medical treatment might not always work, but it has a higher chance of working then exorcisms -- which have no chance of working since demonic possessions aren't real. duh.

@halloweenfriday I'm not disagreeing with you, but just letting you know it seems like you're getting split personality and schizophrenia confused as the same thing. A common misconception. Split personality is clinically known as Dissociative Identity Disorder, and Schizophrenia is completely different. The patient doesn't show signs of multiple personality in any way. The main symptoms are delusions, hallucinations, disorganised speech, catatonic behaviour & negative symptoms. Google it.
