My parrotlet (who has recently started to pluck, so he looks a little shabby) is almost a year and a half old. He's learned to make laser sounds. Pew pew pew!

Zerby was a big inspiration for me to start researching about parrotlets as a potential pet for myself and my husband. He's so smart, sweet, and adorable! I hope ours will be just as awesome and full of personality. Thanks for posting your videos, I can't wait to see more!

@teekachu Aww! That's so great to hear. :) They seriously make wonderful pets. They're really comical, assertive (the males, at least), and cute. And their poop is small, too, which is a GREAT benefit when it comes to cleaning up messes! Are you thinking of getting a male or a female? Zerby is a male -- males tend to be better talkers, but females tend to be sweeter in temperament. Also, Zerby was hand-fed...I totally recommending getting a hand-fed bird.

@sssummer We picked out a sweet little green boy (and yep, handfed!) that stuck to us like glue when we visited the breeder, and he'll be coming home with us on Thursday! I'm so excited, hehe!
