In the second scene at the 2:22 minute mark, you will see a Falcon at the top of the frame join-up with the paraglider gently descending in the on-shore breeze. Life is good on the California Riviera!

Video recorded August 13, 2010 from the base of the paraglider hill located on the south side of Eding's Park off of Cliff Drive NE of Hindry's Beach, Santa Barbara, California, with a Panasonic DHC-SD9 Hi-Def camcorder.

Santa Barbara Newsroom website, Search All Words: 'Falcon chicks'

    April 28 2007

For the first time in nearly 70 years, a pair of peregrine falcon chicks has been seen hatching on Santa Barbara Island. ...

There are 30 pairs of peregrine falcons on the eight Channel Islands today, probably the offspring of the first birds that were released or of birds that hatched in the wild, out of a total 250 pairs of falcons statewide.

  • Actually, the bird had no red feathers on it at all.

Living on the coast, I have often seen these falcons soaring on the updrafts along the blufftops along More Mesa.

  • Actually, the bird was a Red-Tail Hawk. Beautiful video of Santa Barbara's Paragliding Training Hill at Elings Park South!
