Carnival Epilogue

*Four years later*

*Julia and Nick sat down in Kevin's living room with all three of their friends. Julia fidgeted, and Nick leaned over to calm her down.*
Nick: Why are you so fidgety?
Julia: I'll explain.

*The whole 'family' was gathered for Christmas, and family they were. Nick had proposed to Julia about a year after Shelbee's death, and Kevin to Ella a few years later.*

Kevin: We already did presents, of course.
*Nick smiled, and fingered the new dog tag around his neck.*
Kevin: Now... Julia? Had something to tell us?
Julia: Um... Yeah... Uh... Nick?
Nick: Yeah?
Julia: I'm pregnant.
*Nick's eyes went wide, and he managed to stutter out a sort of 'what' sounding word, before he bent over and fell off of the sofa. Julia shifted her weight to one thigh, and sighed.*
Julia: Someone pour some water on his head?
Kevin; Nah, I got it.
*He leant down and yelled in Nick's ear.*
Kevin: NICK, JOE'S MAKING OUT WITH JULIA!!! AND THEIR TOPLESS!
*Nick shot up, and after giving both Joe and Julia a quick glance, he glared at Kevin.*
Nick: I hate you.
Kevin: Sure you do.
*Nick got up, and walked over to Julia, hugging her.*
Nick: Thats great!!!!
*He grinned at Joe over her shoulder, who winked back at him, and smiled himself. It was one of the only smiles Nick had seen Joe crack since Shelbee died.*
Kevin: It's like the whole family's back together.
Joe: Yeah...
*Far off in Kevin's guest bedroom, where Joe was staying, Joe's phone rang. If he had seen it, he would have screamed, for Shelbee's name and number were on the caller ID.
Calling for the Holidays, like she always used to.*
