I have an idea. I'm a singer, dancer, actor, fashion designer. I don't have a name.
actor/singer: I was thinking of offering a share in "me" to investors. they would own a piece of my name and as i got bigger, they could share.
designer: i was thinking of starting a design house [with objective to be the first american couturier] and investors would share in the design house profits.
what you think of this, i've never heard of it before.

That type of thing is done for young athletes sometimes where for example a young promising tennis player needs funding - the times I have heard of it, it has been done on an informal basis. For investors of course, the key is to buy a share in something that has value and where the expected return reflects the probably very high level of risk. Otherwise it is charity - and that's ok too.
