  • in the sense of romance for this hp movie, i thought that they did a brilliant job of it...lavender came off perfect, ron and hermione were excellent in the aspect that they were at an awkward stage, and the build to harry and ginny was there...in the book it was like jk just said let there be relationships, and it happened...here there was build...hated the death eater invasion...wish they would have done more with that

  • well, the bits and pieces that we're seeing is just them before its edited together...and we dont know how many scenes were shot and what we have to deal with, so dont lose faith...i also ship h/g, along with others

  • im thinking that regardless, we're going to go spend 4-10 dollars on movie tickets, furhter supporting the hp franchise, we will sit there, we will watch the movie, most likely enjoy the movie, and probably add it to our movie collection regardless whether we liked it or not simply because we have the other movies

  • true, but ron and lavender were kinda obvious about the fact that they were dating

  • lol thats funny actually, because thats what made me dislike it the most. i was waiting the whole movie to see the duels at the end during that, and then it was like!!!!... nothing... disapointed, but honestly the kiss was a highlight of the movie. way more romantic and cuter than in the book.

  • Honestly, i agree wtih you in the sense that, yes, it would be nice if they decided to follow the book better, ESPECIALLY with this movie, as i felt of all 6 so far, it was the least like its book.

But i personally actually like this kiss a lot better. It adds, yes more romance, but it more personifies their relationship before this point. All in all, i would have liked this to be the real first kiss in the book, and while its not, i must admit, the whole feel of it is much better.

  • yeah, its a small thing but i kinda hate it when they do that. they change the movie from the book and the books are ussually way better, harry potter is pretty good about it though. Like if you ever read Eragon (not even comparable to Harry Potter) they completely fucked up and had to stop making the movies. i think that it should have been Ginny and Harry kissing personally. But dont worry lol there will most likely be alot of 'snogging' from Ginny and Harry.

  • I just hope the kiss from the book is still in there

  • I too was disappointed in the film makers' descision to replace this scene with the original kiss, as I've been and H/G shipper ever since I'd finished reading CoS, and had been looking foward to seeing the moment on screen ... What really bothered me however, was not that the original kiss was never brought to life, but the fact that the void left by said kiss, was replaced with a Ron/Lavender love scene!

  • i kind of agree, but it needs to be more hollywood-ed up for the people who don't take the time to actually read the books...but i also think it takes away from the drama of the sectumsempra-malfoy issue....so we'll see how it all works out.
