As promised:
my quality restored version of the "Dear John" home demo by John Lennon.
One of the last songs he worked on, a kind of follow up to "Dear Yoko" from Double Fantasy.
I reduced hiss and noise, eliminated a lot of pops and clicks and tried to bring the Vocals more in the foreground while reducing the slapping sound he does when he slaps the guitar in rhythm.
I didn't had to do much though, as the original version sounded pretty good already. However - I always disliked him sliding into the "September" song so I cut that out, shortening the song.
I hope you like.
PS: This song is also part of my remix album 'Ultimately' which covers most of my work on the Lennon / Beatles demo's. Be sure to check out my blog for downloads !

What a tragic loss; a great track that is basic and simple. Ironic since he was singing about life and the race being over, etc. Sad indeed. Really sad.
