Here is a video from Speed King for the Playstation from Konami. This video showcases the opening cinema as well as a quick run around each of the four tracks in the game.

Speed King is a futuristic racer in the vein of Wipeout. The setting is Neo Kobe City 2045, which should be familiar to any Snatcher fans out there :)

The game itself is running on a PS2 with the "smoothing" option on as to make the game a little less pixelated...

  • @FaStMinD1985 Hehe Do Germans have that in their genes (kidding, of course)?

  • fuck it, im starting a snatcher collection. got nothing better to do with my time and money :P

  • Wow! I'm really impressed to find out about a game that takes place in the Snatcher universe!

  • this is one of the BEST racing games for the PSX

  • The game itself isn't all that great; There are only 4 track and the crafts feel like bricks when compared to other sci-fi racing games (Wipeout, F-Zero). This couldn't be a big of a problem but when the tracks get more and more narrow/confined, all you do is bump to the walls all the time. The only good thing that this game has is probably the soundtrack.

  • Lixo, lixo, lixo.

  • 4:55 the ad should seem familiar to anyone who has played SNATCHER MSX.

  • @magagnomagagni brother this is long time back

  • this game is terrible..look how slow is the refresh of the backgrounds!

  • Actually a lot of the soundtrack is Mutsuhiko Izumi (he did most of Konami's arcade racer soundtracks back then) and some of it is even in the Guitar Freaks and Drummania games. At 3:29 that's Mr.MACHINE from Guitar Freaks 2nd MIX. At 6:08 that's Model DD4 from...well I forget to be honest, Guitar Freaks 9th MIX I think.
