This is a video of my first triathlon on July 5, 2009. I hope it helps people understand how triathlons work and that you don't have to be super fit to participate in them. I have a podcast as well at parkedthoughts.com where my co-host (Jeff) and I talk about training for and running marathons and triathlons.
@smorales3308 Awesome! Good luck! My last minute advice is what I give to everyone: don't worry about your time at all. Just enjoy the experience and learn from it. I looked at the trailer for that movie that you recommended. I'm not sure about the specific approach they would be recommending, but I do agree with the philosophy of finding what makes you really happy. It's really not that difficult.

Any last minute advice for me? This video made me think about a movie I saw last week, “Discover the Gift”. it talks about being true to yourself and do whatever you do best giving 100% all the time. Thanks Justin! It was a lot of fun. I signed up for the same race next year and I'm looking for an olympic-length one as well. Are you thinking of trying a tri?

Congrats on completing your first sprint triathlon.

Thanks Kim. I do have a tattoo on my arm, but what you're probably seeing in the video is my race number: 133, which they write on your arms with a permanent marker when you register.
